BN retains two third majority in Sarawak

As expected, BN retains two third majority again in the just concluded state election. Taib Mahmud has been sworn in as CM. DAP wins 12 seats, PKR wins 3 seats. Independent candidate wins 1 seat. The rest are swept by BN.Supp only manages to retain 5 seats out of 19 seats it has contested. The results of the state election show that the Sarawak natives are not ready to change. These natives lack of information and education. They are ready to vote anybody who offers them the most money. The defeat of George Chan of SUPP will now put pressure on Chua Soi Lek and Koh Tsu Koon. The Sarawakian Chinese have abandoned SUPP. Will the Chinese in West Malaysia abandoned MCA and Gerakan?Let us see. The show is about to begin. I think Taib will be CM for another term. After all PBB has done well, there is no reason for Najib to ask him to step down. This will be good for PR because it can capitalise on this issue in the next coming election. I also expect money politics would be more serious in the coming general election. MCA and Gerakan will be fighting for their survival. They would use all the secret weapons, particularly "vitamin M" With the victory in Chinese dominated towns, DAP has gained momentum and let us see how the tainted president of MCA would ward off the assault from DAP.
