Worrying trends in Malaysia

The world, including Malaysia, is facing acute financial crisis. Yet our government is not doing enough to accelerate the economic growth. Worse, trillions of dollars are wasted yearly due to rampant corruptions and wastage. The ministries or the departments concerned do not show any sense of remorse. They continue with their old practice of mismanagement of funds. The latest scandal is the cattle rearing investment that cost taxpayers millions , if not billions of dollars.

We are told that Malaysia`s debts run in trillions of dollars and each person, young or old , is indebted around rm 20,000 and the figure is going to increase. If nothing is done to stop the corruptions and to prevent the privatised companies such as North- South Highways from robbing the peoples` wealth, most probably Malaysia would end up like Greece soon.

We pray that our future generations need not suffer the consequence due to the mismanagement of the present leaders. May God grant them the wisdom to rule, failing which it is proper for them to be replaced in the next general election.
