In my previous article entitled " Who Is Khoo Kay Kim" I made a sweeping statement that English educated people are immoral. I am willing to retract that statement because it is not true that English educated people are immoral. What I want to stress is CSL is English educated and he does not feel ashamed when his sex DVD was exposed. CSL is immoral does not mean English educated people are immoral. My apology.And I thank readers for pointing out the mistake I made.
Of late, Lee kuan Yew and Lim Kok Wing had criticised that Chinese educated people are not innovative. Lee kuan yew, khoo kay Kim and Lim Kok Wing are naive, ignorant and childish. It is not true that Chinese educated students or undergraduates are not innovative or they lack of intelligence to come out with new ideas. The reason why students don`t perform well is because the education system is too rigid. They stress too much on examination, not so much on inventions and innovations.
Above all, in many countries such as Singapore, China and Malaysia , there are too many education acts and university acts that curb the freedom of the undergraduates to express their thinkings and ideas. The students are not given freedom to invite opposition parties for a debate. The students are in constant fear of harrasment from the authority. In this respect, students lose their confidence to do something revolutionary. This explains why Asians usually do not shine when compared with their counterparts in the western society.
So Lim kok Weng , khoo kay Kim and Lee Kuan Yew must use their brains to think twice before they start condemning the Chinese educated students. Lee kuan Yew does not even have confidence in the Singapore education system. That is why he, Lee Hsien Loong and his grandson were educated in England. If they were educated in Singapore, I would bet that they won`t be as bright and intelligent. Lee kuan Yew has destroyed the intelligence of Singaporeans students by not giving them autonomy and freedom. Today the singaporeans are all yes man. They don`t even know how to think and they keep voting for PAP because the government tell them to do so. They can`t differentiate between right and wrong.
If Lee Kuan Yew , Khoo kay Kim and Lim kok Wing still insist that Chinese educated students are substandard, I challenge them for a debate. If they are man of integrity, they should not fear a small fly like me.

I agree that the education system is too rigid, and its discouraging many students to think out of the box.
When i was in secondary school, my teacher used to stress on this issue a lot. and i can understand her concern. of course, we cannot say what type of education system is the best, as each system has its pro and con.
what can every teacher can do is to make student realise that education is not just about getting everything right base on the book. its more to applying what you learn. each great name in history starts with their initiative to try something new.
of course there will be some resistance, particularly when some personal interest is involved. just to add, if u look at the history, humankind never like changes.
realising the true meaning of education is enough. what's next is up to the student as we can never control others.
