In the past, by election was a nightmare for opposition party because with huge resources and man power BN could easily defeat the opposition party. Today the scenario has changed. BN is afraid of by elections. In the Permatang Pauh and the recently concluded Kuala Trngganu by election, BN lost to PR after pouring in millions of funds and thousands of man power.
UMNO must change in order to win the hearts of Malaysians. However, looking at the ways UMNO handles politics in Perak and in other states, it seeme that UMNO and BN have not changed. Things are pretty back for BN.The future looks so bleak for BN that is is afraid to face the rakyat in a fresh election.

Thats y BN so happy & always use the name Sultan. That shows they are hiding behind Sultan & worse making use of the royal institution. Furthermore they prefer not to have fresh election as they know surefire they will lose out. Secondly, now they 'win' Perak state easily. Of course those UMNO & BN dogs will be glad to say no to another election
Drama in Perak will be very interesting. However the people fall out, as development projects come to a halt. Foreign investors will not like political instability
